These weekends can be great fun. Having fun and learning English at the same time has to be a fantastic idea. In many ways good food and drink, good company and a beautiful environment will help you relax and therefore learn more English.
There are lots of rural houses to choose from and many are in really beautiful places. The important thing is that it is isolated! No shops, no TV, no mobiles just pure English. The weekends that really work are when all the students speak in English to each other and not just with the teachers.
This is a way to learn a lot of English in a very short space of time, by combining the English classes of a normal course with the English environment of a weekend in England. This means you can learn the theory in the classes and then have the opportunity to use this theory in practise over dinner and drinks.
In the end in “real life” you are going to need your English in social situations than probably any other situation.
